Flying Buttresses are an alternative rap group consisting of rapper Sebi C and DJ/producer Deviant.
They hate writing about themselves in the third person so here's some quotes other people have written about Flying Buttresses.
"Though undoubtedly an important release for Irish hip-hop, the uniqueness in style on here makes pretty damn certain there shan’t be much in the way of imitators. Nothing out there sounds like the Flying Buttresses and in a time when rap oriented hip-hop is becoming more and more narrowly defined, such straying from the norm should get the praise it deserves."

"It's clear that while nothing can straightjacket Sebi C's flow ("Yak, yak, yak like a verbal coughing cat" he spits on 'Madonna & Orson Welles) Deviant's inventive soundscapes and dextrous scratches more than match it"

Flying Buttresses - Orson Welles - 'EP of the Year, 2012' - Harmless Noise blog
"...some of these tracks are irritatingly short but there’s a heap of variety to maintain the tracks’ separate individuality as it all passes quickly, from avant (advanced?) garde beats to minimal accompaniment, wack-as-wtf cuts and vintage boom bap. We’ve heard Irish accents rapping this year and Sebi C adds to the spectrum in this respect with his own colourful tones that catch the ear, but it’s flow where the excellence lies, always with some dash of indiscernible emotion. Choppy or drawn out, skimming unpredictably, his delivery caught me on the hop a good few times. Definitely one for hip hop fans, even those who think they’ve heard it all."

"The ultra-productive turntablist/producer Deviant & Naive Ted, and MC Sebi C just put out their debut under the name Flying Buttresses, the 'Orson Welles' EP. The songs are often short feral bursts of stream of consciousness vocal madness from Sebi while Deviant provides boom-bap beats under dusty loops and lurching cuts. Sample lyric: “If rabbits ate frogs I wouldn't like them at all. I wouldn't mind them eating poisonous vegetables but they wouldn't do that they're sound out and on the ball. Completely delicious but I couldn't shoot one at all”. This shit is unique. At the end of last year I heard some describe Deviant's 'Send In The Hounds' EP as “the most important Irish electronic/dance record ever”. At this years end I'm sure we'll be seeing the 'Orson Welles' EP in a fair few lists and charts."
