Frantic Sally is an Independent music and visual artist from the west of Ireland. Her musical Influences draw from artists like Kate Bush, Aldous Harding and Andy Shauf.
The visual aspect of her art is mixed media and collage. She is currently working on a collection of prints called ‘Miniature Moments’.
At the start of 2022 Frantic Sally began recording the songs she had written during the pandemic in her own studio with producer Bootlegtailor.
‘This is Heaven’ is the first offering of these recordings. The song expresses the state of mind and the human condition during current events. The lyrics tell the story of a person trying to find some small piece of inner silence amongst the constant noise of living through these times, and is stated as “Heaven is alone in my head” in the cinematic style chorus of the song.
The production of the song was heavily Influenced by Aldous Harding's designer album with a style that flows from a sparse rhythmic verse into rich expressive melodic chorus.
The accompanying video for the single explores the contrast between the natural world and the human events of the last two years.
