Hanmadi is a new Irish, French and British alternative rock quartet based in Dublin, Ireland.
Fronted by singer Adèle Pinet, the band’s unique identity stems from a diversity of influences from the different band members, creating a sound between PJ Harvey and System Of A Down. Influences range from 90’s post punk, alternative, gothic rock, to stoner & doom metal.
Their first single “Cinderella Syndrome”, produced and mastered by Peter Meighan (Sand, North Atlantic Oscillations, Dave Couse, Fiach Moriarty), is due out in mid 2025, and will be the first of a 3-song EP. These songs portray unsettling characters and the tragedy that they are going through, in an objective or subjective sense, highlighting the irony of human emotions. In other words, everybody deserves their own petty miseries.
Hanmadi was born out of a serendipitous encounter between Adèle (vocals) and Paul (drums) while walking their dogs in a Dublin park during the pandemic, and has expanded to two other members Yoann (b.) and James (g.).
Following a well received debut gig in Fibber Magees in December 2023, the band is looking to play more live gigs in support of their new songs in and around Dublin this year and next, but you can catch a glimpse of their ongoing work on their social media: @hanmadi_music (YT & IG)
