Hi Vista

Hi Vista is the new project from Julianne Murray (Rumi) and Kevin Gubbins
(Kubb_).

Long time collaborators for their own respective projects, new songs
started to form that didn’t quite fit their own projects, the songs had a
different quality to them, something that was different or felt ‘other’.

They decided to release them under a new name ‘Hi Vista’ inspired by the
district in California and the building which features in the Talking Heads
“Road To Nowhere” video and the infamous Kill Bill church scene.

The new tracks are inspired by their interest in exploring and writing in
diverse genres from French House to Ambient to Indie Pop whilst the
subject matter of the songs deals with themes of love, loss, life and
everything in between.

Their influences include Daft Punk, Daughter, The XX, Julianna Barwick,
Kerri Chandler & Fred Again to name but a few.

Their debut single ‘Take Me Away’ was released February 23rd and featured on the international Nialler9 - Songs You Should Hear list.
