A world folk duo of voices, harp and guitar - Anna Tanvir and Maninder Singh from Carlow, whose rich vocal harmonies and multilingual repertoire explore themes of displacement, love, life and loss. Anna Tanvir, vocalist and harpist, met Maninder Singh, singer and guitarist in 2017 in the Indian town of Dehradun in the foothills of the Himalayas. They’ve performed alongside Ralph McTell and LiamÓ Maonlaí, featured on Irish TV and RTÉ radio, played in Indian festivals sponsored by the Irish Embassy and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, and venues in Ireland such as Dublin TradFest. More recenty, they have released a song and video with the help of Carlow Arts funding called Mayfly. They are currently touring in Ireland, Wales and South West England.
