iNNUENDO

Art Pop // Dublin City, Dublin // they/them

Dublin-based art-pop quartet iNNUENDO are inviting people into their theatrical, alternative-rock-meets-baroque-pop musical world. Inspired by artists like Kate Bush and David Bowie, they've always been drawn to music that says something different and catches you off guard. Prioritising musicality and character over everything, they aim to create the kind of music we’ve always wanted to hear: dynamic, catchy, and unapologetically unique.

Their sound pulls from a wide mix of sounds and textures, with "intense guitar riffs, strong bass and prolonged powerful vocals" (Hot Press), while also "reminiscent of Talking Heads and XTC in their taut use of melody and lyrical wit, while their up-beat dance grooves are straight from the Franz Ferdinand playbook" (CLASH).

As Dan Hegarty from RTÉ 2FM put it, it’s “music you feel obligated to share with anyone who will listen,” and that’s exactly the kind of connection they try to make, something contagious and alive, especially showcased in their exuberant live shows.

Since releasing their debut EP On Occasion on Blowtorch Records, things have moved quickly. With a sold-out physical release of their EP, packed venues across their Irish and UK tour, highlights for them in the past year included supporting Canned Pineapple on their Irish Tour, Whelan’s Ones to Watch, The Next Big Thing, Hot Press showcases, and the Blowtorch Records Showcase, as well as sharing stages with artists like Babyrat, Cable Boy, Skinner, Adore, and Telekura.

They've also felt incredible support from tastemakers like Clash, Line of Best Fit, The Goo, Nialler9, District Magazine, Hot Press, GoldenPlec, and So Young, along with regular spins on RTÉ 2FM, Nova and BBC 6. They were also selected for the TILT development programme with John Barker, giving them months of studio time and led them to playing a sold-out headline show at The Button Factory.

Looking ahead, iNNUENDO is working on new music, with their recent single "Rosemary" leading the bunch, focusing on creating concise, high-energy tracks that are designed to grab your attention and leave you wanting more. Inspired by artists like Talking Heads, Franz Ferdinand, The Lemon Twigs, and The Cardigans, the new material showcases a different side to iNNUENDO, and sees them venturing into fresh sonic territory for 2026.
