James Fennell

Hello, my name is James Fennell and I'm an 18 year old singer-songwriter from Greystones, County Wicklow. I'm a multi-instrumentalist but I mainly play piano and guitar. I've been writing and recording my own music for a few years. I play a variety of styles, from classical to jazz, pop and rock music, all of which influence my own songwriting.

In terms of performing my own material, recently I was a finalist at the Fingal Music Showdown in the Lark Theatre, Balbriggan. I've also performed with Garageland a number of times, including Garageland Galaxyz in Arklow 2022, and most recently at Garageland Teen Spirit sessions in Blessington 2023. Last year, I won the Wesley Music Festival Songwriter's Cup for my song 'Angels'.

I'm doing the Leaving Cert this year and plan to pursue music as a career. A slot at Ireland Music Week would be a great opportunity to meet with other people and showcase my music to a wider audience.
