James Keegan

Raised in a triumphant upbringing in County Cork in Ireland, James Keegan is a folk/pop artist that has been captivating audiences all over Ireland, the UK and Europe. It all began in 2023 at Whelans Ones to Watch, and having gigged ravenously since then James has built a loyal following, which led to 3 of his 4 singles charting at No.1 in the Irish iTunes Charts. Having gained praise from notable Irish artists such as Damien Dempsey, the 21 year old singer-songwriter has been honing his craft week in week out and has earned his credit as a prolific grafter. James’ music has been featured in various creditable playlists such as “Ones to Watch” by Live Nation and “New Irish Songs to hear this week” by Hot Press Magazine.

James is preparing for a tour across Scandinavia, Estonia, Slovakia, Austria, Germany, Belgium and Holland in January and February, along with also being a member of Cork based band Fire and Water, James is taking on a lengthy tour of the US consisting of 97 dates across America starting in mid March.
Currently strategically waiting on the release of his debut E.P. recorded with Christian Best of Monique Recording Studios, James is backed by Mick Flannerys band on the tracks. The E.P. can be best described as a blend of atmospheric folk/pop, with a touch of angst and a longing for freedom as an independent full time musician. The E.P. is due to release in June of 2025.

James closed 2024 strong playing headline gigs in DeBarras Folk Club, and Cyprus Avenue in his biggest shows to date. Having played headlines already in Little Whelans in Dublin and in Mascara Bar (known for Fontaines D.C. playing there) in North London , James intends to return in the new year with a touch more of experience, consistently doing his best to hone his craft as a singer-songwriter.
