James Keegan

From small stages in Cork to playing all over America and Europe at just 22 years old, James Keegan has steadily built his reputation as a compelling live performer the old fashioned way, on the road.
Sharing the road with prog-rock legend, Geoff Tate (ex Queensrÿche frontman) who has toured alongside veterans like AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Ozzy Osbourne, Bon Jovi and KISS, his entry to the touring circuit was immediate and uncompromising.

The journey began in Eichstetten, a small town in southwest Germany, where he was invited to perform with fellow Cork musician Tomas McCarthy.
At just 20 years old, James packed his bags for his first gigs outside of Ireland and after a week performing for Tate and his band, was offered an opening slot on a huge 15 country European Tour.
Fresh out of college, he found himself living on a tour bus for the first time, navigating life on the road, and performing 6 nights a week to new audiences.

Supporting a nine piece metal band armed with nothing but an acoustic guitar and his voice, Keegans performances stood out in a stark, but refreshing contrast to Geoffs.
Night after night, he won crowds over whilst gaining invaluable experience and developing his identity as an artist, steadily building a loyal fanbase across extremely diverse markets.

Following the European run, Keegan joined Tomas McCarthy for a string of U.S. dates, which led to a major opportunity opening across the United States, performing to audiences of 1000-2000 people a night.
Taking to big stages such as The House of Blues New Orleans, The Celebrity Theatre and Florida Theatre, Keegan followed the footsteps of legends who came and played these rooms before him such as Elvis Presley, David Bowie, Johnny Cash and Frank Sinatra.

Now having toured 41 states across America and 15 countries around Europe at the tender age of 22, Keegan continues to broaden his international audience with tours coming up this year in Spain, the UK, Ireland and more in the U.S.
Self driven and completely independent, Keegan represents a unique style of artist, building his come up in a rock/metal circuit as a singer-songwriter, he has assembled his platform from the ground up through live performances and consistency, and has steadily established himself as one of Irelands hardest working artists.
