"Human Condition," the debut solo album by drummer/composer James Mackin (3epkano) draws on a diverse career as a session musician and composer.
The album, due for release in May 2024 blends electronic, cinematic, and rock influences with improvisation. It was recorded and produced by James and mixed by Steve Shannon (Strands).
Exploring the intersection of sound and lyrics to delve into the concept of heightened anxiety and its prevalence in the contemporary era, the album delves into the visceral experiences and emotional landscapes shaped by the complexities of modern life.
The album features a dynamic performance from Irish-Nigerian artist and activist Osaro Azams and special guests, showcasing Mackin's musical journey and collaborations across genres.
