Jessica Pritzel (23) is a singer/songwriter from Dublin, Ireland. She began singing and entertaining from a very young age and has performed both as a solo artist & as a member of groups performing in small and large scale venues across her home country of Ireland. She studied a B.A in music and drama at the DIT conservatory of music to further develop her passion for music and performance. She was also a live show finalist in the hit TV show 'The Voice'. From there she made a commitment to explore and discover her own unique musical style and was invited to work with some top tier homegrown and international writers, musicians & producers.
She has been back and forth to London recently, writing and recording, whilst also shooting music videos for the song productions. The collaborations with UK, US and Irish songwriters, producers include musicians such as Pete Woodroffe & Charlie Grant: Pete had worked almost exclusively with Def Leppard during the 1990s as a producer and songwriter. In 2001, he went on to form a very successful pop songwriting duo with Charlie (Grant), writing & producing for artists as diverse as Simply Red & Melanie C. Also involved in the Pete/Charlie collaboration is Nashville based writer, producer, musician Billy Livsey (Tina Turner, Gallagher & Lyle, Michael McDonald, Anita Baker, Paul Young). Irish artists that Jessica has also collaborated with include young up and coming Dublin based Alan Earls and Belfast's Paul Shevlin (Hologram), she has also had tracks produced and mastered by IFTA award winner Locky Bulter.
A style that could be classified as a form of "baroque pop", a fusion of pop/rock with underlying tones of classical orchestral elements. Jessica has truly been inspired by melancholic, emotional and dramatic music. On her musical journey she wanted to explore a 'darker' side to pop/rock and her songs have captured all of this and much more.
