Jeykll & Jeykll are Irish songwriters and instrumentalists Meg Cronin and Cathal Nally. The Duo recorded their debut EP "Don't Forget to Daydream" in Sept 2018, which they will be releasing this summer 2019. "Endless Aimless Collisions" is the first Single, released June 7th, 2019. The second Single "The Sum of All Tears" will be released in July. In October J&J's first video, animated/illustrated by the outstanding Tia Friedel for Endless Aimless Collisions will also be released. The Full EP will also be out in August, which features the title track, an instrumental in 3 three movements the duo are very proud of.
J&J were graced by the outstanding work of Christian Best (Engineering/Mixing/Percussion), Ruairi O'Flaherty (Mastering), Jake Walsh (Bass and all things IT) and Cian O'Sullivan on Drums; they were also very lucky to have the wonderful artwork of Jenny Horgan.
Jeykll and Jeykll formed in 2018, performing multiple gigs as a duo around Cork City, most notably at the Kino during the Cork Jazz Festival 2018. Meg and Cathal also gigged regularly with Musical Brotherhood (MB) and Mountainous Riff Club (MRC) as well as performing as a jazz duo in various formats
The duo draw on multiple genres from Jazz all the way through to indie: The Smiths to Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Charlie Parker to Lee Morgan; Billy Holiday to Esperanza Spalding, Son House to Rory Gallagher; Chic to Heatwave; The Metres to Vulfpeck.
