Just No are an upcoming Dublin based band.Their
catalogue of impressive original songs have been described as deeply
thought musical arrangements partnered with pop influenced melodies.
Their sound has been compared to “the music of Muse meets the
melodies of the Killers” by Musicmaker. Their songs contain a certain
sense of familiarity, and their radio friendly hooks are unique to their
genre. Returning from a successful tour of Spain in the summer of 2012,
Just No gained the attention of Ryan Sheridan, whom they
opened for in the Hill Of Uisneach. Their cover of Gotye's hit "Somebody
I Used To Know" seen them emerge as Ireland's most viewed 'Block C
Live Sessions' band with over 80,000 views, and earned them a place on
the main stage in the Academy. Their impressive song writing abilities
and unique sound have gotten them on to the Hot Press '40 Hottest Up
and Coming Acts' list 2012. They recently earned a place among the final 30 acts of the Hotpress Big Break Competition. Following their recent success supporting
The Last Waltz in a sold out Olympia, Just No have launched their debut single
"Where You Come From" in a sold out Whelans on 15th March 2013. They have appeared alongside many other established acts including UB40 and Imelda May at Groove Festival 2013. Just No have announced their second headline Whelans gig for 2nd August.
"There is truth to the ‘it’ or ‘x’ factor, it’s hard to pin point what it is exactly. There is something unmistakeable about Just No they’re not imitating anyone so maybe that it is the ‘it’ in this case" -Music Review Unsigned
"We have seen JUST NO on a number of occasions over the last two years and we are now beginning to see a marked progression in them as a band. That is in terms of the sound developing and how their live shows have improved." - U&I Magazine
