Keith Plunkett is an indie-folk songwriter from the West of Ireland now residing in Dublin, writing and performing "ethereal" sounding folk songs made up of intricate 'open-tuned' finger style acoustic guitar with introspective melancholic lyrics. After signing to Irish indie record label Downed Road Productions in 2014 - 2018, he travelled the country supporting many great Irish artists including Paddy Casey (6 times), Declan O'Rourke, Hudson Taylor, Hermitage Green and most recently the Hot House Flowers in 2023. Chosen as 'Artist of the Week' on Beat 102-103 and 'Homegrown Hero of the Week' on Today FM in 2017, with his then single "100 Cracks" being played at peak drive time every day for a week on both stations. Since then, Keith has progressed from a pop world to a matured folk sound.
Keith's live shows are often accompanied by Maeve Kelly on the cello and Shane Smith on electric/acoustic guitar. After recently setting up an independent "home studio" in an office above the Workman's club, he has started to self produce all of his own songs and is currently working on a full length album with the intent to release an EP on June entitled "Cold Cold EP"
