Kez

Fusing intimate songwriting with cinematic atmospheres and expansive dark-folk textures, Kez creates music deeply rooted in landscape - from the dramatic Atlantic coast of the West of Ireland to the sweeping hills where she grew up. Through evocative lyricism, her work explores themes of longing, loss, and love. Influences range from traditional Irish music and Enya to Sigur Rós, Lankum, Leonard Cohen, James Blake, and more,

BBC’s Phil Taggart has described Kez as “one of Ireland’s next important voices”. In recent years, she has been mentored by Grammy Award-winning producer Albhy Galuten, whose guidance has helped shape her developing sound. A grateful recipient of Galway City Arts Council’s 2025 Bursary Award, Kez has put the funding towards recording her debut album, due for release in Spring 2027.

Her work has received recognition across Irish music and media, with features on RTÉ, The Irish Times, Hot Press, Nialler9, Golden Plec, and more.
