K I T C H E N is the noise pop brainchild of Jack Rudden. Borne out of stress induced nightmares, gender panic and a fascination with Chaos Magick, the prime objective of K I T C H E N is to explore the esoteric through the medium of extremely Lo-fi music.
In 2019, Rudden released their first EP: "Eugene Dreams". A three track release recorded in their kitchen that documented the content of a number of recent nightmares and the remorse felt from recent social withdrawal, the EP was ignored by local press but has since gone on to become something of a cult hit, amassing nearly 6000 streams on Spotify alone.
The following year saw the release of a five track follow up: "apocroniCis". This EP saw Rudden take a more synth-driven approach to their songwriting, but still maintained the signature Lo-fi atmosphere that set their music apart. The release garnered some media attention and was described by Golden Plec's Hannah Gibson as "a spacey Alice in Wonderland-esque tale... bright and cheery on top with a sinister undercurrent which feels like being chased." The EP has since received close to 5000 streams.
Since the release of these EPs Rudden has been sparsely drip feeding singles such as "Hex-Ed" and most recently "Mega Famous Crooner" They are currently in the process of writing an album.
