After signing to independent Irish Record label 'Beo Records' at the beginning of 2025 (established by Clannad’s Moya Brennan), Larabel is set to release her debut project over the Summer months. 'Squiggle' is a five track EP with a unique ethereal, Irish-indie sound. It's intertwined with darkness, playfulness and tackles tough personal topics. Hailing from Gaoth Dobhair, Co. Donegal, Larabel is influenced by the rugged landscapes and roots to the Irish language that has surrounded her growing up; this can be heard throughout the EP.
Having played at some of the biggest festivals in Ireland and the UK over the last year, including Electric Picnic and the infamous Glastonbury, as well as selling out her own headline shows in Whelan's and her hometown show in Leo’s Tavern, it felt right that Larabel was chosen as one of Whelan's ‘Ones to Watch for 2025’. After honing her craft, finding her sound, graduating from BIMM and playing countless gigs around the country, she has established a name for herself in the Irish music scene.
Larabel has a lot to offer in 2025 with her project 'Squiggle', various collaborations and singles to follow up after the EP.
