Laura Jo is a North Longford-born singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who has spent over a decade captivating audiences with her powerful voice and skilled musicianship. Playing tenor banjo, guitar, mandolin, and piano, she has performed in over 40 countries and 40 U.S. states, gaining recognition as part of renowned groups like Biird, The Young Irelanders, Billow Wood, and Briste.

In 2018, Laura Jo embarked on her solo career, traveling extensively and focusing on creating original music that reflects her unique sound and style. Her debut single, Places, released in 2022, was met with great success, leading to opportunities to share stages with acts such as Roisin O, The Tumbling Paddies, and JigJam.

Her second single, Bright Eyes, released in 2023, brought her national acclaim, winning the Wildcard Public Vote in the Hot Press & IBI A New Local Hero Irish Music Month awards, solidifying her reputation as one of Ireland’s most promising emerging artists.

Laura Jo has performed on prominent stages and events, including RTÉ’s Late Late Show St. Patrick’s Day Special in 2024, Trafalgar Square’s St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in London, and the All Together Now Festival as part of the female supergroup Biird.

Combining heartfelt songwriting with dynamic live performances, Laura Jo continues to build her solo career while staying true to her roots. Whether sharing her new music on festival stages or intimate venues, her music resonates deeply with audiences across Ireland, Europe, and beyond.
