Looking Svelte is a pop music project from Ryan Burrowes (Robocobra Quartet/Abandcalledboy). Self produced, the EP features the influences from the likes of Triphop , Noise and 80s Synthpop and incorporates drum machines, synthesisers, home made instruments and messed up guitars to create a glitchy pop haze. The EP features 3 tracks and a cover of Jona Lewie’s Christmas classic ’Stop The Cavalry’ which was featured on 'Christmas on Castletown Rd.'
"His debut solo EP is, accordingly, inventive and exploratory. For one man, he has a hell of a lot of ideas."
"...It’s pure alchemy, and it encapsulates this hugely promising, exciting debut perfectly."

"Gelatine is a very solid introduction to what's currently manifesting itself in Burrowes' head at the moment, and there's every chance based on these four tracks that he may have struck on something that had always been yearning to get out. Already looking forward to the next release, without sounding too greedy."

"This collection of tracks is a gift that keeps on giving. Each listen brings new discoveries, highlighting new notes—literally and figuratively. This is to be savored, to be pondered, to be repeated."

"A beautiful hybrid of woozy depths and eclectic highs, this experimental and colourful nugget is a welcome balm to the slate-gray end of Winter."
