Bambi and the Bastard Babies

Bambi and the Bastard Babies is a duo consisting of Lord Bambi and Patrick Hallinan (Thinkerrs, Mercurius Forebrain, The Third Rehearsal). The duo started playing together in 2015 but it was only really in 2018 that any music really came about. Influenced by everyone from the Beatles to Fontaines DC, their debut track "diMAILo", released in November 2018, is a summery, feelgood alternative hip hop track, kind of like Huey Morgan fronting Sublime. The song effortlessly blends rap style poetry with 90s alternative reggae rock, and were the band more widely known it would be regarded as something of a summer anthem. Follow up "School Sucks" is due to be released some time in 2020. That is in the same vein, with lyrics about a guy who doesn't like going to school but finds his teacher Ms. Garcia attractive, even if she's a right cow to him. Lord Bambi also has his own music podcast and has been an extra in music videos by Hudson Taylor, Little Hours and The Scratch.
