Luna Juniper is a female-fronted alternative funk-rock band focused on promoting equality and diversity in music. Front-woman Eva Luna is full of fiery energy, taking inspiration from the likes of Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Anderson Paak, Hiatus Kaiyote, Jamiroquai.
The band’s songs are fiercely fun and feminist and ooze an energetic community spirit. Live performances include tireless dancing, fearless speeches, and endless fun. They are currently recording their first two singles “Woman” and “Everywhere We Go”, in Windmill Lane Recording Studios; both of which will be released in succession in mid-to-late summer.
They’ve played three headline shows in Dublin to date: The Workman’s Cellar in January, Fibber Magees in February, and, most recently, “The Female Gaze” feminist multimedia event, The Grand Social, April 5th.
They are booked to play KFEST Arts Festival on June 4th, which will be the first of a string of sunny summer gigs. The band's colourful aesthetic and upbeat energy make them a perfect festival fit. Updates on shows and releases are most easily found on the band’s socials.
