Lydia Ford

Pop // Castlebar, Mayo // She/her

“Each release pushes her sound into alternating genre-based pockets, whilst retaining her refined artistic voice; a testament to her skill as a songwriter” - Earmilk

“Great voice, incredible production, and really thoughtful composition” - BBC Introducing

Lydia Ford is a pop artist originally from the West of Ireland. At the age of 9, she was gifted a guitar for Christmas and immediately began writing and developing songs in her bedroom.

Compared to acts like Fickle Friends, Maisie Peters and Avril Lavigne, Ford creates a blend of indie alternative pop that’s defined by her distinctive voice and melodies.

She has received national airplay in Ireland and performed at prestigious events such as Other Voices, but this enigmatic artist also has some international reach. There has been support from major US sites such as Uproxx and Billboard, UK airplay on BBC radio, and additions to global Spotify playlists including New Music Friday UK, New Music Friday Deutschland and sync placement on E4’s Made In Chelsea.

Currently based in Berlin, Ford continues to collaborate with producers and songwriters from around the world, allowing her to articulate shades of indie, dance, a twist of folk and more typical singer-songwriter through her kaleidoscopic pop lens.

She is currently working on her debut album, set for release in 2023.
