Band Bio:
After an extended period away from the gigging circuit, cork group “Machismo” make an eagerly anticipated return to the live stage to launch their debut album “Four More Years”. Since their formation in 2006, this established rock group has climbed in recognition to play some of the biggest venues nationally and share the stage with artists like The Charlatans, The Blizzards, The Coronas and Dirty Epics.

After the release of their debut E.P. “The Swell” in 2009 to a near sell out crowd at The Pavillion, Machismo went on to reach the “Blastbeat” national finals and place 4th best unsigned band in Ireland. In addition to regular airplay on Red FM, 96Fm and spins on Today FM, their debut single “Don’t Free Your Ego” reached no. 4 in the national download charts.

Since then, the group (now consisting of only siblings Shane & Ian McCarthy) returned to the studio with producer Dave Farrell (Rubyhorse) and engineer Christian Best (Mick Flannery Band) to create an album showcasing their progression and varied musical style. The finished product is certainly true to their intention. With two fresh members joining the band to complete the 4 piece lineup, the group are hoping to make waves in 2014.
