Ma-Ka

MA-KA is an Alternative R&B singer/songwriter based in Dublin, Ireland. She had humble beginnings singing in a church choir from a very young age, but it wasn't until she finished college that she discovered her talent and passion for songwriting. Since then, she has decided to tell her story through her music. Her music is an eclectic mix of R&B and Soul with Alternative elements sprinkled throughout. Her life experiences such as the dissolution of her parent's relationship in her teens serve as the focal point and the source of her material.

She uses music as an outlet for her emotions and credits bands such as Linkin Park, Blink 182 and Audioslave for getting her through her teen angst years and igniting that passion for music as a form of catharsis in her. She released her sophomore single ‘Where Were You’ in August 2019 - an R&B vibe with alternative trap influences. She is currently working on her debut EP - heavily influenced by the likes of Kehlani and Syd which deals with themes of love, heartbreak and everything in between.
