After learning a few chords on a Spanish guitar in his early teens Mick Byrne honed his craft playing rock songs at parties and then pub gigs. After he started writing his own songs playing open mic nights led to playing support slots for various bands around venues in Dublin. His influences range from varied artists like the old blues masters to early rock and roll, from Bob Dylan and the Beatles through to Fleet Foxes, from Led Zepplin through to The Pixies, Nirvana and The White Stripes, many Brit pop bands such as Radiohead, Oasis and Blur and great songwriters such as John Prine, Leonord Coen & Warren Zevon to name just a tiny fraction. Although he has many influences it is clear he is not trying to sound like anyone but himself when you listen to his songs.
Mick currently has 2 songs on Spotify, YouTube and ITunes.
