Molli is an up-and-coming 21 year-old artist, native to Wexford, who weaves her Irish heritage proudly into her genre-blending music. Drawing influences from Paolo Nutini, Sam Fender and Damien Rice, she is not afraid to embrace the acoustic singer-songwriter style while also spinning her own unique twist on it, with notable hints of folk, rock and pop among others, with breathtaking harmonies and powerful haunting guitar. Since the ripe age of eleven years old, Molli has always had a passion for songwriting and often bases her lyrics on both life experiences and the world around her.
Her newest release, ‘mo chroí, mo ghrá’ was written after coming across several WB Yeats poems describing Yeats’ unrequited love for Maud Gonne. This song was written with Yeats’ perspective in mind and also incorporates some Gaeilge, which Molli is very passionate about promoting in her music.
