Nessa McHugh is an Indie Folk artist hailing from County Meath with a heart full of nostalgia. Drawing inspiration from artist’s like Elliott Smith & Adrienne Lenker, she enjoys weaving delicate acoustic melodies with dreamy ambient textures to create music that feels both intimate & cinematic. Think Phoebe Bridgers meets a misty Irish morning.
With a want to turn heartache & hope into songs that linger, Nessa introduced herself with her debut single, Loch Henry (July 2024); a haunting, story-telling driven track. She followed it up with, Spring Will Come (September 2024) & Good Bad (October 2024), each one a little window into her world – honest, melancholic, and wrapped up in soft, ethereal soundscapes.
With her debut EP set for release in 2025, Nessa wants to bring her storytelling and dreamy folk sound to a wider and bigger audience. For lovers of music that feels like a late night heart to heart (or the soundtrack to crying on the bus home), Nessa McHugh is the artist for you.
