Oak Tree Secrets is the creation of Irish singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Eoin O Cinnseala.
Eoin was raised in Dunshaughlin, County Meath by musical parents and it was his eldest brother’s interest in the guitar that sparked Eoin’s own interest in music. Having played his first drum-kit aged ten, and having picked up his first guitar aged twelve, Eoin began writing songs, performing in open-mic nights and busking on Dublin's streets. Eoin’s early influences included The Frames and Bright Eyes and later singer/songwriters Damien Rice, David Gray and Glen Hansard as a solo artist.
Aged twenty one, Eoin set sail for Australia and New Zealand and played shows in cities such as, Perth, Adelaide, Byron Bay, Melbourne, Sydney, Auckland, Wellington, Tauranga and Queenstown. Having returned to Ireland, he is now a regular on Dublin’s music scene.
An eagerly awaited EP has recently been released in 2015 which is certain to make its mark on the folk, acoustic and singer/songwriter scene. An Irish tour is planned for the beginning of 2016 to coincide with the release of Oak Tree Secrets’ ‘First Breath’ EP.
