Pinhole are a quirky duo dividing their time between West Kerry and Cork. They fly the "alternative" flag but deliberately skate over genre boundaries creating their own unique sound reflective of their visual art backgrounds. Their approach to song writing is based on pushing their own expectations resulting in a refreshing sound that takes pride in addressing topics to challenge the ear and mind alike. Delicate melodies morphing into raw mayhem take you on a roller coaster experience...
Pinholes first single was RTE Song of the Week in 2020 and they featured on Other Voices 2014 13th TV series playing later that year in as part of OV in Derry. They were selected for placement on RTEs legal drama "Striking Out" selected by AMC Music and Nialler9 in 2017. With influences from Stump to Charles Mingus they have been likened to a reinvented Kate Bush, Jenny Wilson, PJ Harvey, Portishead and London Grammar. Their as yet unreleased debut album is already receiving positive nods of approval from Today FM and Newstalk.
