pocket promise are a band originally from tyrone, but now based in Belfast.
Comparisons have been drawn with the likes of Elbow, The National, postal service, soulwax and pavement. The band though, ultimately sound like themselves.. a quirky mix of off kilter rhythms, jaggy guitars, rolling basslines, big pianos and more recently lots of fuzzy synths and bleeping beats.
The band's debut album 'i've been here for ages', produced by david odlum, was voted an Album of the year by bbc's 'across the line' show, and featured in the top 20 irish albums of 2009 on Green & live, Limerick & Beat Fm, Waterford!
pocket promise are currently hibernating in the studio, recording a new collection of sounds that will make you want to move closer.
