Quangodelic

Other // Cork, Cork

A Quangodelic gig brings on the funk. And since the smoking ban you can smell it.

Quangodelic are an ever-growing collective of talent who make the dirtiest funk noise known to man.
Gigs at Townlands Carnival, Electric Picnic, Whelans, the Bowery and the Crane Lane are building on Quangodelic’s reputation as a band that not only bring the funk but make sure it stays put through long, sweaty, high-octane sets involving papier-maché masks, red hot jams and a mix of solid funk staples with new material from the indisputably original mind of bassist, vocalist and undisputed ringleader Pat Allott.

Add to the mix a full brass section, the vocal talents of The Vox Funkuli, mad-scientist keys, a rhythm section tight as James Brown’s corset and sweet guitars, and what do you have? A party.

Quangodelic are launching their LP on 22nd Feb at the Kino in Cork and are then heading off on a short tour to promote it.

“We don't care how stupid we look, We just care about FUNK. Pure wonky Funk. We play live music that people can get sweaty to. We play party music. We are the party.”
Pat Allott
