Queen Bitch is a music project praised for its “perfect blend of rock, blues, and grunge” (Melodic Mag, 10 June 2024). With six single releases to date and a highly anticipated debut album set for late 2025, this year promises to be an exciting one for this artist.
May will bring a double release of two tracks from the upcoming album, both of which explore some of its darker and more challenging themes, including addiction and defying societal expectations. Other tracks on the album delve into themes of resilience, inner peace, self-empowerment, and moving on from life’s difficult experiences.
A regular presence in Dublin’s local music scene, Queen Bitch has played at venues including Fibber Magees, The Sound House, and Bello Bar. The band has supported artists Dumb Posh Hippies at The Workman’s and Big Woman at Whelan’s. Previous singles have garnered recognition from Hotpress, The OtherSide Reviews, The Last Mixed Tape, Melodic Mag, among others. The latest single, 'Fool Out of Me' (released 22 November 2024), was selected as Dan Hegarty’s ‘Track of the Week’ on his RTÉ 2FM show The Alternative in December 2024.
The foundation of Queen Bitch’s music was laid in 2020, shaped by time spent creating during the COVID-19 lockdown. The project has since been described as “a shining light rising from those [pandemic] ashes” (The OtherSide Reviews, 7 October 2024).
