Queen Herod's quirky, melodic music belies bitter notes and dark themes. If you want to put a style on it, you could say she plays folk-jazz-doowop-soul-pop. A love of layered vocal harmonies and bossa chords make her sweet, humourous tunes easy on the ear.
Queen Herod's EP will be released in September 2012.
She is an artist and illustrator (www.hollypereira.org) and plays with 9 piece Wicklow band Blind Yackety.
