Robyn Maddox

Delving into the world of character songwriting in 2023 with the release of her debut EP, ‘Midnight-15’, Belfast-based artist Robyn Maddox’s songwriting is rooted in theatrics and self-deprecation. Working in collaboration with producer/drummer Darragh Tibbs, Maddox’s writing marries raw, introspective lyrics with surreal stories, painting fantastical worlds that range from smoky, shimmery casinos to phantasmagoric encounters with her own conscience. Now joined by the musical forces of session players David Dalzell (bass) and Marcus Porte (guitar), Maddox ushers in a new indie-pop era inspired by the glamourisation of mobster culture in cinema and littered with imagery of French film noir.
