Roisín Gowen

Singer-songwriter // Dublin // she/her

Roisín Gowen is an emerging alt/trad-folk Irish singer-songwriter from Dublin. Roisín's distinctive live presence delivers her personal and powerful songs with a commanding voice. She returned to Ireland mid-2025, finding her feet in the local scene supporting fellow emerging artists across Ireland and the UK, releasing her debut singles with a sold-out headline show at the Cobblestone, and garnering national radio play for her second single ‘Fighting Spirit’. Some recent highlights for Roisín include performing at Whelan's Ones to Watch 2026, a co-headline show with Pippa Moloney and Elishka Lane in Upstairs Whelans, and supporting international acts like Courtney Marie Andrews (US) at Whelans and Jana Horn (US) at Bello Bar.

Roisín's debut album 'Out Of Grief, Into The Garden', released in March 2026, is a 9-track record about love as much as it is about loss. It is an intimate, acoustic-centred collection that reflects on the process of finding peace and resolution after the confusing and painful loss of a mother. It holds both a heavy heart and a gentle spirit, capturing the longing for our loved ones who have passed whilst trying to understand how to navigate our futures without them. After launching her album at the Dublin Unitarian Church in March, Roisín's made her festival debut at Croílár Festival in Athlone, which will be followed by performances scheduled over the next few months in both Ireland and the UK, including supporting Andy Irvine alongside Tessa Rose Jackson at the returning Dun Laoghaire Folk Festival this September and showcasing at Irish Music Week 2026.
