Rory Sweeney

Rory Sweeney is an electronic artist, producer and filmmaker from Dublin. At only 25, Rory is one of Ireland’s most lauded and respected artists, rising to prominence in both Ireland and UK for his high quality and diverse outputs and high energy AV shows, defined by glitchy electronics and cinematic balladry.

Rory’s talent for composition is not tied to a genre, but defines the genres that he works in, pushing & shaping the boundaries of Irish sound. This influence has led to collaborations with a wide range of prominent artists such as SELLO, New Jackson (David Kitt), Curtisy, Ahmed, with Love, Pippa Moloney and Kojaque, and being co-signed by artists and producers like Lord Apex, Machine Girl, Objekt, Maria Somerville and Shampain.

After making history in 2024 by releasing the highly acclaimed first of its kind 'all-Ireland' collaborative Hip-Hop album 'Irish Hash Mafia' under the pseudonym Carlos Danger (included on AOTY lists by Nialler9, District Magazine, Cork Echo and The Thin Air), Rory was among a small group invited to a residency in the RCC in Letterkenny, where he has developed his latest album set for release in late 2025.

As a filmmaker, artist and DJ, the live experience for fans is at the core of Rory’s artform, notoriety for which has led to him perform at All Together Now, Electric Picnic, Open Ear and Other Voices in 2024, alongside headline shows at The Sugar Club and Button Factory in Dublin.
