There aren't many bands who can boast a Medieval Literature scholar and a Medical doctor in their midst but Runaway GO aren't any regular band. Fronted by the dual vocal talents of Dave Jackson and Fiona O'Kane, the Belfast band bridge the gap between indie and pop, with their indie band instrumentation and their anthemic pop melodies, vocal range and harmonies.
Whatever category the band are put in, the important thing for this young talented bunch is that their music is emotive and connects with their audience. Individually, four creatives but together each element they bring, through their personalities, in songwriting and during live shows, makes Runaway GO a unique unit.
The band pride themselves on their work ethic and their live shows are testament to that, recreating their studio sound exactly in a live environment. This, alongside their audience interaction has made them a 'must see' on the circuit and has led them to play with the likes of Bastille, Suede, James, Little Comets, King Charles and Professor Green as well as having completed several successful tours of Ireland.
'I Would Go' is the sixth release from the band and they have received significant airplay both in Ireland and the UK. In the studio, Runway GO have worked with Jonathan Shakhovskoy (U2, Stereophonics) released in the Summer of 2013.
