Running Out the Clock

Rock // Fermanagh

Founded in County Fermanagh by childhood friends Aaron (Guitar) and Josh (Drums), Running Out the Clock was fully formed with the addition of Anisa (Bass & Vocals) and Yaz (Lead Vocals & Guitar) last year.

Running Out the Clock are a guitar driven, synth-pop powerhouse, excitedly drawing from whatever piques their interest, be that indie, hard rock, math rock, RnB, reggae, prog, or South American jazz, their wide, varied and keen love of all things music reflects in a freshly focused and unified sound.

Nimble basslines and explosive drum fills navigate complex time signature and genre shifts, bolstered by dazzling synthesisers and emotionally expressive guitar playing that heighten the impact of the blissful lead vocals and harmonies.

Shortly after their debut gig, the band immediately secured a spot as finalists in the Rockshore Battle of the Bands contest, generating a buzz that netted them a gig at the Belfast Empire music hall and a radio interview with Blast106. This momentum continued to push the band forward, garnering online success with various viral band videos on social media. Exciting and numerous gig opportunities across Northern Ireland were quick to follow, culminating in a decisive victory at the Queen’s Battle of the Bands at the Mandela hall, performing in front of a crowd of over three hundred people.

Described as a ‘true hidden gem of the music scene’ by Chordblossom.com, it’s easy to see why the band has created such an excitement in the local music scene, having made such big waves mere months since the band’s inception. Eager to build upon its successes, the band plan to release their unique songs over the coming year, exposing music listeners to a truly fresh and exciting sound, that’s sure to deeply resonate with all who come across it.
