Sands & Urwin

Clare Sands and Aisling Urwin are a Blues/Folk duo who met in their first year of college in UCC. Having recognised each other's potential and different styles, Sands & Urwin formed a duo in late 2013. Within 6 months of forming, the duo played a 20 date tour of Ireland, as well as a mini European tour with dates around Holland and Germany. Playing a mixture of their own quirky and gritty originals to the Rolling Stones,Jeff Buckley, Paul Brady, and sets of jigs & reels.

Travelling lightly with a fiddle,harp,two guitars, and harmonicas, the duo have a unique style of playing, incorporating various Blues and Rock N' Roll influences into their diverse set. Both their voices, instrumentation, and eccentric personalities highly compliment each other. The duo have played all around the country, but can mainly be found gigging in Cork City where they are both based, on a regular basis.

Both artists are working together on highly anticipated EP's at the moment that they hope to have out next year.
