Sano Hill

Indie // Galway, Galway // He/Him

Understanding the world is a challenging task, though music and song helps. Irish singer-songwriter Sano Hill might be in a retro capsule with what inspired him, but his awareness is of the present. From social issues to the various experiences and emotions that shape life, Hill navigates it all through song. His influences range widely from David Bowie, Bob Dylan and Elvis Costello to Jeff Buckley, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, U2 and Radiohead. From his initial compositions influenced by Van Morrison's early work, Hill has gone on to become an acclaimed singer-songwriter in his own right, with his celebrated single releases to date - The Climb, Starting Over, CircleWalk, Sing Out Loud, Feel Love, Dancer, and Time Out - regularly featuring on the prestigious New Artist Spotlight Top 20 Weekly Chart. His compositions have been described as defining “a timeless recipe for original guitar music: inventive, humanist lyrics sung from the gut, then embedded in rhythms to barrage or soothe the soul" (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel).
