Sarah McCreedy

Folk // Holywood, Down

How do we make sense of the world in which we live? Sarah McCreedy, Singer/Songwriter from Holywood, Co. Down, understands music as a way to at least attempt to answer that question. From meaningful relationships to existential crises, McCreedy’s music chronicles human experience in all its complexity.

Mirroring the multitudes of life itself, McCreedy’s approach to genre is far from monolithic: you can expect elements of acoustic, folk, indie pop, and more, often wrapped up in the sadgirl influences of artists such as Phoebe Bridgers and Soccer Mommy.

McCreedy’s long anticipated debut album Why am I still here? - Eve Blair’s BBC Radio Ulster late show album of the week - is out now. You can catch her on RTE series Songs of Ireland. She has played Sound of Belfast, the Dalriada Festival, The Court House, Victoria Square, The Empire Music Hall, and supported acclaimed artists such as Jarrod Dickenson and Duke Special.

McCreedy is currently working on a sophomore album project, which involves custom making an instrument with Hook Guitars.
