Search Results are a three-piece alternative rock band based in Dublin, Ireland.
Fionn, Jack and Adam formed Search Results after moving to Dublin for college in 2019. Upon forming, they bonded over their love for punk and garage rock, emulating the energy of bands like Parquet Courts and The Velvet Underground, and spent much of their time during the pandemic writing their first songs.
In 2021, Search Results made their first release - “Mirrors”, a self-produced 5-track EP made in their shared home in Dublin. The following year saw the release of their second EP titled “No Punchline Arousal”. Both EPs are available on all streaming platforms and 50 cassette tapes of each were made available on their Bandcamp. The “Mirrors” cassettes sold out while some copies of the second EP are still available. They were both recorded on a four track tape machine in the band's shared home.
Search Results frequently perform in venues across Dublin and around Ireland, and have been organizing their own shows since the end of 2021. In September of last year they played their first out of county show to a sold-out Fred Zeppelins in Cork. In October, Search Results performed at TILT in the Button Factory to a near capacity room following an interview on Dublin City FM. To finish 2022, the band supported ‘Fizzy Orange’ at a sold-out New Years Eve show in The Racket Space.
To begin 2023, Search Results performed to an over filled room as part of the Whelans Ones to Watch Festival. Since then they joined ‘Skinner’ on his Irish tour and played alongside ‘Junk Drawer’ at their sold-out Dublin show. Most recently Search Results opened up for ‘Banrion’ on their final tour date in the Workman’s Club.
“With hints and heavy nods to 70s proto-punk band Jonathan Richman & The Modern Lovers and 80s psychedelic rock band Camper Van Beethoven, Search Results' music would not feel out of place on any of the late John Peel's 1980's late night radio show playlist” - Garry Baylon, The Goo
“Search Results are everything I look for from (for lack of a better word) 'guitar music'. Seeing them was a joyous experience with notes of The Feelies, Beat Happening, The Vaselines et al. permeating their music. An artistic oasis in the current Post Punk, Diet Mark E Smith landscape, Search Results are different and that's reason enough to check them out” - Ethan Golding, The Goo
