Shima’s Dream are Matt Halo (vocals) and SiFi (music), a Franco/Irish electronic music duo based in Dublin, Ireland.
Sharing the love for Electro music and the nostalgic music of the 80's, with the goal of playing electronic music completely live (without computers), “Shima’s Dream” was born in 2013. Jams turned into concrete songs and the recording of an E.P began, which will be released Q2 2014, consisting of four songs “Roxy”, “Ocean”, “ Around the World in 40 Seconds” and “Tonight”
They asked London based Irish producer/mixer Richard Rainey (well known for his work over the past 12 years with U2 alongside Brian Eno, Daniel Lanois and Steve Lillywhite) to mix the EP. He thought the tracks were "cool" and agreed to mix it.
In October 2013 they performed their first gig at a private party in the penthouse of the Radisson Blu Royal hotel in Dublin, with an amazing response from the crowd. Further gigs followed in The Globe and The Mercantile, and more are planned throughout 2014.
In May 2014 Shima’s Dream will film the video for their song “Roxy” directed by multi-award winning Mark Noonan (Questions 2009, Getting Air 2010) and produced by Swedish producer Therese Caldwell ( Ripper Street 2012, Wake Wood 2010)
