Skull The Pierre

Hip Hop // Dublin, Dublin // he/him

Fueling the Dublin music scene with brutal honesty and infectiously catchy, genre-bending melodies, Skull The Pierre isn't your average rapper. Found in your playlist with XXXTENTACION, Tyler, The Creator, Action Bronson, Wax, and Kota The Friend, the BIMM Dublin student and record holder for most "Live & Lyrical" performances is a gay, half Swedish/half Colombian rapper, producer, and singer-songwriter who could just as easily fit in your playlist with The Lovin' Spoonful, Manu Chao and, Colombian Cumbias. His own distinctive brand of Alternative Hip Hop is best described as “Pierre music”.

Through an unapologetic and eccentric online persona and boundary-pushing music rooted in self-discovery and storytelling, Skull The Pierre serves as a voice and manifestation of unreserved artistic expression. The buzz around him continues to grow and the up-and-coming rapper has been receiving recognition and support from some of the biggest names in the Irish music industry and abroad, such as Radio X and Amazing Radio in London, Nialler 9, Dan Hegarty, Claire Beck, Kieran McGuinness, GoldenPlec, Vamp & Fade, John Barker, and more.

Further solidifying his talent, Skull The Pierre has received appraisal from international stars/rappers Felly and Wax who both have praised his production and lyricism. Additionally, his music has been covered by multiple news outlets and blogs including Extra.ie, Echo.ie, ANR Factory, Businesspost.ie, and more.

Shattering stereotypes and a champion for individuality and self-expression, Skull The Pierre is a prominent voice for the LGBTQ+ community within the largely heterosexual Hip-Hop scene. He came out through his song “I’m gay” in 2020 and his hit phrase "I'm a professional homosexual" from his song "ALL MY LOVE” went viral with over 1.6 million views on TikTok, and more than 350 users incorporating it into their videos.

As one of the most authentic and unique voices in the Irish Hip Hop scene, he’s also hailed by his fans, followers, and industry people as one of the most devout artists to his craft, singlehandedly handling every aspect of creating and releasing his music, along with hand-painting and hand-sewing his merchandise, editing his music videos, designing his cover arts, handling all admin and promotional aspects, booking his own shows, etc.

Skull The Pierre’s live shows are high-energy, crowd-engaging bonanza, and his devoted fanbase return time and time again. He headlined and sold out his first show in Dublin in 2021 at The Workmans Cellar, and the prolific youth has been gigging in venues like The Workmans Club, Opium, The Grand Social, The Sound House, The Button Factory, Whelan’s, and The Bernard Shaw consistently since. He supported Bricknasty in The Lighthouse in 2021 and he has graced prestigious stages like Bulmers Secret Orchard alongside Kojaque and performed at the Body & Soul Festival in 2023.

With the second headline show in Whelan’s main room on March 21st, his highly anticipated EP slated for the 17th of May and a second album already on the horizon for Q1 of 2025, Skull The Pierre is one to keep both eyes on, one blink and you might miss something extraordinary.
