Some One's Sons are a dynamic and evocative five-piece Irish folk band, carving out a unique place in Ireland's folk scene. Some One’s Sons have been riding a wave of success, with a sold-out concerts in Liverpool and Dublin, headline gigs at renowned venues such as the Róisín Dubh and the Grand Social, and performances on TG4 Live, TodayFM, and BBC Radio Merseyside. They've recently completed their summer tour, supporting renowned acts like Seán Keane, George Murphy, The Fureys and the Wolfe Tones, along with a headline performance at Whelan’s. They also played festivals across Ireland, including Electric Picnic, Galway Folk Fest, Fleadh Thoraigh, the Lakeland Sessions, RiverFest and the main stage of the Fleadh Cheoil.

Some One’s Sons consists of Daniel Allen, brothers Greg and Ger Dunne, Ross Gavin and Joe Monaghan. Lead singers Daniel and Greg’ voices compliment each other beautifully in both ballads and upbeat tunes. Daniel’s voice blends sweet tones, reminiscent of the late Jim McCann, with an unrefined ruggedness, similar to that of Tom and Paddy Clancy. Greg commands a tenor that is both unique and yet timeless in nature, often compared with Luke Kelly and Tommy Makem.
