STEPASIDE – are from Dublin and have been writing and performing for many years and are popular in Ireland and with the great irish diaspora mainly in the USA , Canada and Australia! A one –time back up band for Jerry Lee Lewis, they travelled around the world with him. In the past they have toured supporting Dire Straits, with Mark Knopfler even joining them for a jam on stage.
The first album was entitled ‘Sit Down and Relapse’ and is due for re-release soon on iTunes.
Stepaside are back in the studio working on their first studio album in years.
A new single ' Black & White' has been taken from the sessions and was released week commencing Nov 9th 2015
Written by Bonass/ Ashford with extra lyrics by Robbie Kane, the song was influenced by a personal story of colour blindness in the band. With news from Australia now of a possible cure for this low profile but distressing disability, we are urging sufferers to Google:
“New treatment for Colour blindness, Australia”
According to a recent report, many high profile people suffer this disability, like Bill Clinton, Keanu Reeves , even Facebook boss Mark Zuckerberg. It is said that the Facebook logo is blue because it’s the only colour he can see properly!
The (B) side features another song from the forthcoming album written by Stepaside guitarist, Mark Costigan called ‘The Queen of Town'
