"Indie pop that isn’t afraid to show its feelings, there’s also a directness to Telebox, a bristling thirst
for melody that makes them enchanting.” - Clash Magazine
Galway four-piece Telebox have paved their own path for the past three years, intertwining elements of atmospheric shoegaze and classic indie rock. Electrifying audiences from Brighton to Electric Picnic, they are heavily tipped to be the next big Irish act.
Their latest release, "When Night Turns Into Day" caught the attention of Hot Press, Clash, and Notion. Topped with emotive, heartfelt, and melodic lead vocals, the tracks move between moments of reflective melancholy and distortion soaked intensity. Their guitar-driven songs are backed by a tight-knit rhythm section which creates their electrifying sound. Telebox honed their live and recorded sound by playing support to the likes of The Academic, New Dad, Brògeal and Fat Dog.
The EP delivers both evocative and storytelling lyricism over swirling guitar led soundscapes, bringing psychedelic elements together with nostalgic indie pop. They followed the release with an Irish tour, playing several headlines across the country, as well as performing at some of Ireland’s biggest festivals, including Electric Picnic, Galway International Arts festival and Sea Sessions.
They released their debut EP, 'What is the Point?', during the Summer of 2023, and toured it around Ireland. On that tour, they played well-known Irish venues such as Whelan's, Dolan's, Cyprus Avenue, Ulster Sports Club, The Spirit Store and Róisín Dubh.
The band's own Galway based festival, "Outside the Box", has been a huge success over the past two years. Other Irish acts such as The Love Buzz, Esmeralda Road and Adore were highlights of the bill in 2024. The event is a testament to the band's unique drive and enterprise.
