telekura

The sound of telekura can best be described as the love child of Black Francis and Goldfrapp spinning at a neon-drenched arcade. Dubbed ‘weird and wonderful’ (Hot Press) and ‘unorthodox’ (RTE), telekura was named after a Japanese telephone-based dating service and blends maximalist synths and velvety vocals to create 90s-tinged pop songs with a whiff of psychedelia.
