The Boondocks

Since their humble beginnings in the small coastal town of Pärnu, Estonia, The Boondocks have gone on to make a name for themselves with a catalogue that includes four acclaimed albums. Influenced by British guitar pop, post-punk and early R&B, The Boondocks are a multi-layered and nuanced affair. Estonia's Radio 2 has awarded them both Best New Artist (2016) and Album of the Year (2018). In 2017, the band was voted the audience's favourite at Tallinn Music Week, and in 2022, The Boondocks won the Rock Album of the Year title at the Estonian Music Awards for their Soup Can Pop Band (2021).

The Boondocks show that there is a certain charm in finding sounds and ideas associated with the decades before our own. “Silver Buzz,” due out in March 2025, is their most ambitious and expansive album to date, bringing together a richer and more inventive sound than before. On this new musical journey, travelling back in time while retaining modern sonics, they will be joined for the first time by an orchestra, influenced by the ensemble’s collective interest in films and film music.
