The Capris

The Capris are a 4-piece indie band from Co. Tyrone in Ireland. Originally starting out as a 3-piece band, Odhran (lead vocals) Jonny (Bass) and Padraic (Lead Guitar) all met in school and became good friends before becoming ‘The Capris’. A life-changing drunken conversation on the balcony of an AirBnB in the Croatian mountains is all it took for the guys to finally go for it and form a band in August 2018.

Playing cover songs at local pubs and clubs was how The Capris spent their first few years, but the goal was always to create their own music. After the release of their first two singles, the guys decided that it was time to expand the band by adding a drummer. Delaney O’Neill (Drums) made his debut with the Capris in May 2022 and has been a permanent fixture ever since.

The guys are influenced by LOTS of bands but Inhaler, The 1975 and Kings of Leon are definitely 3 bands that provide the majority of The Capris’ inspiration for making music. In July 2023, The Capris made their music festival debut, playing on the same bill as some big names such as Scouting For Girls and Sam Ryder.

This is just the beginning for The Capris - big things are coming so watch this space!
