The Fulcrum Effect are a four piece band from Southern Wexford, who perform their own, original music. They concentrate on a rhythmic rock, grunt with a groove. A lump hammer wrapped in velvet, no bow tie.
They are influenced by music from the 60's up to today. Everything from the obligatory Creedence, Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Led Zep, up to the likes of Kyuss and Audioslave. And thats just the bass player!
They define rock music as being that gritty sound played by the likes of the artists and bands listed above, you could say they are on the border between rock and the original sound of metal.
Their wide range of influences in manifested in what they do, and how they do it. Heavy, dark, oddly melodic, accidentally lyrical, and occasionally whimsical.
The band are;
Anthony "The Man" McCarthy - Vocals
Declan Colfer - Bass
Dave "Dad" Cleary - Drums
Pete Hughes - Guitar
